Company

Infrastructure before interfaces.

Noko is a Namibian-founded financial technology company focused on the infrastructure between payment instructions and regulated financial rails.

We are not trying to replace banks, clearing systems or licensed payment networks. We build the coordination, control, reconciliation and reporting layer that helps institutions connect to them more effectively.

The name Noko draws from Nokokule in Oshiwambo and Nokokure in Otjiherero — “even from far” — reflecting a simple idea: distance should not make trusted financial connectivity harder.

The platform

A control layer for complex payment flows.

Noko sits between institutions, applications and regulated payment infrastructure. The public architecture is intentionally simple; the control environment behind it is not.

01

Orchestration

Coordinate payment instructions across multiple systems while preserving clear state, reference and execution history.

02

Embedded controls

Apply identity, screening, transaction-policy and approval controls inside the transaction lifecycle rather than after it.

03

Auditability

Maintain structured transaction records, decision evidence, reconciliation history and reporting outputs for review.

04

Integration

Expose stable interfaces to institutions while partner-specific connectivity remains isolated behind controlled adapters.

Current focus

One infrastructure spine. Focused product applications.

Core infrastructure NP / NC

NokoPay & NokoCollect

Programmable institutional money movement for disbursements, collections and settlement coordination.

NokoPay

Structured payouts, payroll and institutional disbursement orchestration, designed for connectivity to Namibia's modern payment rails.

NokoCollect

Mandate-led collection orchestration with controlled processing, reconciliation and institutional reporting.

Cross-border FX

NokoFX

Cross-border payment connectivity for compliant inbound and outbound flows.

Designed to connect international payment partners, Namibian funding and payout endpoints, and regulated settlement infrastructure through a common orchestration and control layer.

Infrastructure-led. Corridor expansion is partner- and approval-dependent.
Workforce SW

NokoSwitch

A payroll-linked earned wage access utility built around verified accrual, clear rules and employer reconciliation.

NokoSwitch connects workforce systems, employer controls and payment execution without turning the employee experience into a traditional lending interface.

Product development is subject to the applicable regulatory pathway.

Trust architecture

Control is a product feature.

Financial infrastructure earns trust through disciplined execution, clear accountability and evidence. Noko is being designed around those requirements from the start.

ISO 20022-aligned by design

Structured financial data for interoperable payment infrastructure.

Automation supports decisions

Accountable people remain responsible for material outcomes.

01

Compliance by design

Policy, screening and reporting requirements are incorporated into transaction workflows.

02

Traceable execution

Material transaction states, decisions, approvals and exceptions are designed to remain reconstructable.

03

Security & resilience

Role-based access, encrypted communications, environment separation, monitoring and recovery planning form part of the control baseline.

04

Regulated counterparties

Execution and settlement are designed around appropriately authorised financial institutions and payment partners.

Operating principle

Build the rails carefully. Add products deliberately. Scale only when the controls scale with them.
